As was predicted, the resident permit parking on robinwood has created a lineup of cars along the arbor fence side of parley vale. The garbage truck driver confirmed that if the cars were not so carefully parked against the fence as they are today, he (or a fire engine ) would not make it through.
I asked the city to review the situation. I am sharing their response. peri
The current lineup of cars is mor e likely due to the gas work. I think we should be careful about playing the fire engine card as a way to keep our institutional neighbors in line. We may end up no longer being able to park in front of our houses and our guests might end up having to park out on Centre Street. Unilateral precipitous action is dangerous.
