Un poco más allá del hotel Tesoro en Audencia 1 Burgos 1
Audiancia 1. Burgos 1, It is just after the main entrance of the Hotel Tesoro in Ave De Los Riscos. Our house is Torre # 13 Unit A. Turn right towards the condominium complex and follow the road. After tower # 9, the path divides into three directions. Take the middle path to Tower # 13A. The parking lot for Tower 13A is in front of the tower. The code for the white gate to enter the condo is 2108 (the door is on the right hand side and the # keypad is next to the door. The green button must be pressed to open the door, it is located behind the guardhouse. (Wait behind the yellow line, the door works with a sensor.)

Restaurants
rec by external expat
- Doña Concha – all the locations, but the one at Damián Ochoa 4 is the best
- Mariscos el Cuñado del Tajo – next to the train tracks in Centro is the best little street stall making amazing ceviche and fish tacos
- Mariscos La Huerta – located along the main strip and facing the beach, this is a great place for good quality grilled whole fish, lobster, and shrimp in housemade sauces. They make nice cocktails, too
- Playa Azul – This is a classic Mexican seafood spot where you’ll find tons of great ceviche and cooked fish dishes. Very affordable, nice beachfront location, and delicious
- Oasis Ocean Beach Club -between playa Mirama and Playa Boquita
- El Vaquero: This is a steakhouse with fun Mexican decor and tasty meat. If you’re looking for steak or fajitas, this is the place to come. Most of the menu is beef (which they grill to perfection), but they also have chicken if you ask for it. You’ll also find salads and a couple of fish dishes on the menu.
- Taqueria Don Julio: Another good spot for typical Mexican fare – ceviche, tacos, quesadillas, tortas and more.
- Hostal Olas Altas - best beach bars... they have live music and DJs throughout the week.

Aproximadamente cuanto costaría ir a la playa de la Boquita?

Playa Olas Altas (walking map)
It would be a bit less than 3km if we could cut through here and walk along the beach.
It "is a very popular beach stretching around much of Bahia de Santiago. Vendors selling umbrellas roam the beach in search of customers. I highly recommend renting an umbrella to escape the intensity of the very hot sunshine. Due to its location, the surf is strong enough that one can go surfing or body boarding directly from the beach. It is not as sheltered as some of the other nearby beaches."
Miramar Beach
It"is the most northern beach in the immediate vicinity of Manzanillo. This beach is also good for body boarding or surfing; one can rent a variety of water related gear here."
Playa La Audencia
(closest to us) "is my favorite beach in the area; it is located alongside a small cove at the end of a street (parking is on the sides of the street). This beach is on the same peninsula as Las Hadas Resort – turnoff before reaching the resort. I highly recommend arriving early, (before 9am), as visitors fill up the limited number of parking spots very quickly. Vendors sell T-shirts and other souvenirs. They price of the souvenirs tends to be quite high because they cater to a variety of tourists and guests of Las Hadas Resort. They do have a good selection though. Of all the items we saw for sale, the t-shirts were priced the most reasonably.
All sorts of gear for water activities can be rented here. Do not hesitate to bargain. We discovered that the men renting equipment will quote you a price depending on how they feel at that particular moment. And based on multiple inquiries over several days, they never were in a good mood."
Playa La Boquita
The north end of Bahia de Santiago; calm water, restaurants, that shipwreck is off the beach, a 10 minute swim. This is where more locals will hangout, complete with soccer (football) games, loud music and large groups. It’s also where you can rent jet skis and book boat trips around the bay.

playa club de Yates
Very close to our place.
san luciano shipwreck
"The San Luciano is 300 feet long. A 10-15 minute swim from shore, scuba divers and snorkelers can enjoy the thrill of a ship wreck in shallow water. An average depth of about 20 feet / 6 meters."
Los Carrizales (with aquatic Sports and Adventures)
North, you need to get there by boat. "Customize your own Manzanillo Snorkel Tour! Tell us where YOU want to go!"
Manzanillo Snorkel Tour - Includes all gear/boat, captain, PADI Pro, cool water and snacks 4 Adult Snokelers Minimum to schedule a trip. $55.00 per person; $15.00 Passenger Only
other things to do
Tianguis
The big market is on saturdays but that is new years day
Colima and Comala
Colima is just over an hour from Manzanillo proper and Comala is just a few kilometers past Colima. It makes a great day trip from Manzanillo and the highway to Manzanillo is fast and new.
Outside the center of Colima are La Campana ruins which date back to 1500 BCE. Located between the Colima River and the Pereyra lake, is the archaeological site of la Campana, a village that belongs to the tradition of the Tehuchitlán, that developed in paralel with cities like Teotihuacán in Monte Albán. This fact indicates this city could have been one of the first settlements in Mesoamerica. The place, that seems to be hided in the urban side of Colima and at only 15 minutes by car from the main square, enjoys lush vegetation
CANOAS TOWN "Canoas is a small rural town of approximately 300 inhabitants, located northeast of the municipality of Manzanillo, located in the Sierra Costera", up in the mountains a bit, cooler, with waterfalls and streams.
Horse Back Riding With Danitours Montain Rural Areas And Sand Beach
Hike to the Mirador del Cerro de La Cruz Lookout Point
"sweeping 360-degree views of Manzanillo, then I highly recommend this 15-minute hike that takes you to a beautiful lookout. We had a rental car, so we parked just outside of the entrance to the hike. However, you can also take a taxi here or take the bus to the Centro and then walk up to the entrance (the road that leads to it is quite steep)." map
locals soccer
At Playa la Boquita there are locals playing soccer.
Down by the port "I recommend taking the #1 bus down the main strip of Manzanillo and hopping off right here at the Coffee cafe. you see a paved road about 100 yards from the lighthouse. Walk down this path which eventually turns into the Malecon. You’ll pass a cute little beach with beach soccer games and volleyball nets that are busy with locals on the weekends."
Visit Laguna de Las Garzas
"Laguna de Las Garzas is one of the most beautiful and tranquil things to do in Manzanillo... It’s really just a lookout point where you can watch birds and the sunrise in the mornings or try to spot crocodiles in the heat of the afternoon sun."
A snowbird town, prettier than Manzanillo with good shops and restaurants. Rent a car or take the ACP bus. A bit north of here is La Manzanilla, where the Karasiks are staying.
