There seem to now be 2 options for a long-term solution, huge pumps in the conservation space, or the betterment program. A third option could be that they put individual sewage pumps in the basement of each of their buildings. But as both Michael Carol from Weston&Sampson and McSweeney from BWSC says "nobody wants a sewage pump". We certainly don't. I would put these options in the following order of preference
- 1.Betterment program
- Divide the 75% not paid by the BWSC, proportionally among all the users based on percentage of contribution to the sewer.
- 2.Sewage Pumps for Each Arbour building
- Going straight out to Robinwood.
- 3.Huge Sewer Pumps and Grinders
- in the Conservation Space - NO
I think the private conversation with Arbour that Michael Carol didn't want to share might well have something to do with Arbour not wanting sewer pumps in their buildings and trying to push through a solution that's cheaper for them.
